Position Overview
Libitur Business PLC is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker & Seamstress to develop and produce our clothing collections. The ideal candidate turns designs, sketches, measurements, and samples into accurate, production-ready patterns, and works closely with the design and production teams to perfect fit and maintain quality.

Key Responsibilities
• Draft new patterns and modify existing ones from sketches, measurements, samples, or design specifications.
• Cut and sew first samples and prototypes.
• Conduct fittings and adjust patterns for fit, proportion, and comfort.
• Finalize patterns for consistent reproduction and grade them into required sizes.
• Calculate fabric requirements and plan efficient layouts to minimize waste.
• Sew complete garments in woven and knit fabrics, including cotton, linen, silk, denim, and handwoven Ethiopian textiles.
• Construct details such as collars, sleeves, pockets, waistbands, linings, and closures to Libitur's quality standards.
• Organize and maintain patterns for future reuse.
• Meet agreed sample and production deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience as a Pattern Maker, Tailor, Seamstress, or Garment Technician.
• Strong manual pattern drafting and garment construction skills.
• Ability to create patterns from a sketch, measurement chart, photo, or physical sample.
• Excellent sewing skills on industrial and standard machines.
• Solid knowledge of men's and women's sizing and fabric behavior (grain, shrinkage, construction techniques).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions while recommending technical improvements.

Preferred Experience
• 3+ years of professional pattern-making and sewing.
• Experience with men's and women's ready-to-wear.
• Experience with premium or export-quality garments.

Performance Expectations
Success will be measured by pattern accuracy, sample quality and consistency, achieving approved fit with minimal revisions, efficient fabric use, finishing quality, meeting deadlines, and well-documented patterns.
