The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce a vacancy and training opportunity for graduates who wish to join the teaching profession. A new one-year teacher training program has been launched for individuals holding a Bachelor’s degree in various fields and interested in becoming qualified secondary school teachers. This initiative aims to build a strong pool of professionally trained educators and enhance the overall quality of education in Ethiopia.
Program Overview
The program will be delivered through five selected universities, including Addis Ababa University. Participants will undergo structured training that includes:
Pedagogical skills
Subject-specific teaching methods
Classroom management
Assessment techniques
Practical school-based experience
This comprehensive approach ensures trainees gain the necessary skills and confidence to excel as secondary school teachers.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Have a degree related to subjects taught in secondary schools
Have a strong interest in pursuing teaching as a long-term profession
Graduates from diverse fields are encouraged to apply, provided their academic background aligns with secondary school subject areas.
Registration Period
Registration opens on Hidar 16, 2018 E.C., and will remain available for 10 consecutive days. All applications must be submitted online within this designated period.

Program Duration and Benefits
