Job Summary
We are looking for professional and well-presented waiters and servers with prior experience in Indian restaurants. The ideal candidate will deliver a high-quality fine dining experience, with strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, service etiquette, and guest handling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Service
Welcome and seat guests in a warm and professional manner
Present menu, explain dishes, and provide recommendations
Take accurate food and beverage orders
2. Food & Beverage Knowledge
Demonstrate strong knowledge of Indian cuisine (North & South Indian dishes, breads, curries, spices)
Explain ingredients, spice levels, and preparation styles to guests
Suggest pairings (starters, mains, desserts, beverages)
3. Service Standards
Serve food and beverages as per fine-dining standards
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and presentation
Follow sequence of service (greeting → ordering → serving → clearing → billing)
4. Customer Experience
Maintain attentive yet non-intrusive service
Handle guest feedback or complaints politely and efficiently
Build rapport with repeat customers
5. Coordination
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service
Ensure special requests and dietary needs are communicated clearly
6. Billing & POS
Prepare and present bills accurately
Handle payments (cash/card) as per procedure
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an Indian restaurant (compulsory)
Experience in fine-dining service preferred
Good communication skills in English
Basic knowledge of Indian food, spices, and menu terminology
Well-groomed and professional appearance
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Amharic is an advantage.
Spoken English knowledge is must
Experience with POS systems
Ability to upsell menu items and increase average bill value
Team player with a positive attitude
