Wabekbon Development Consultants PLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Addis Ababa.

■ Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• General Ledger & Accounting Operations: Maintain general ledger accuracy, oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and cash flow operations using Peachtree and ERP systems.

• Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Prepare, monitor, and analyze operational budgets and evaluate variances.

• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audit activities while ensuring strict compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal company policies.

■ Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent role.

Industry Specifics: Previous experience in the hotel and/or restaurant industry is required.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Peachtree, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. Strong track record in financial closing and audit support.

Languages: Full proficiency in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo (Oromiffa) is required.

Key Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, high integrity, and solid communication skills.
