We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with at least 2 years of professional experience to join our finance team. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day accounting transactions, statutory tax compliance (VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax), inventory tracking, and financial reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities;
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare supplier payment requests and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes
• Perform weekly and monthly physical stock counts; reconcile inventory balances between , ERP software, and physical stock.
• Prepare and file periodic tax returns, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and Employee Income Tax (EIT), in accordance with Ethiopian tax laws
• Process monthly employee payroll, calculating deductions, overtime, and benefits.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Assist during internal and external financial audits by preparing required schedules and supporting documentation

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience (experience in Supermarket, export, or operational finance is a plus).
• Deep understanding of Ethiopian tax regulations, statutory requirements, and Ethiopian Accounting Standards / IFRS
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CNET ERP, Peachtree, or similar systems)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas, dynamic stock management) and Microsoft Word.Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, integrity, and excellent communication abilities.
