Experience: Senior
Vacancies: 1
Skills: Business Proposal Development, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Planning
Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and commercially astute Business Development Officer to drive business acquisition, corporate networking, and partnership development. This is not a passive office role. Success in this position is measured by your presence out in the market—meeting public and private stakeholders, navigating the local landscape, identifying enterprise opportunities, and converting leads into closed software contracts. You will own the high-level commercial relationship loop, blending modern multi-channel marketing tactics with field-based business development to scale our software projects, on-premise platforms, and SaaS products.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Corporate Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain high-impact relationships with key decision-makers across corporate networks, private enterprises, and public/government bodies
- Multi-Channel Client Prospecting: Design and implement tailored, actionable market outreach strategies that look beyond online networks—regularly executing targeted, office-to-office, or door-to-door physical client visits to secure high-value initial discovery context
- Field Networking & Representation: Actively represent the company at local technology conventions, commercial corporate gatherings, and industry networking events (including morning or evening business mixers at key local venues) to expand organic word-of-mouth visibility
- Tender & Proposal Development: Own the end-to-end bid and tender pipeline, tracking municipal or private requests for proposals (RFPs), aligning with internal technical estimation leads, and crafting winning, jargon-free commercial bids
- Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Confidently lead commercial conversations, structuring license agreements for on-premise software, monthly/annual contracts for SaaS models, or milestone-based contracts for complex software engineering projects
- Local Market Analysis: Continuously research, track, and interpret changing business trends, local competitor maneuvers, regulatory framework shifts, and emerging industry dynamics in technology sector
- Cross-Team Synergy: Collaborate with marketing executors and product development teams to ensure market realities directly inform our positioning and promotional content cycles
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent practical field experience in technology sales will be heavily weighted.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of verified experience closing software sales, custom IT services, corporate accounts, or driving high-value institutional partnerships
- Communication & Agility: Exceptional presentability, interpersonal polish, and verbal/written communication capabilities. Must confidently translate abstract digital technology features into obvious, real-world corporate value
- Bidding & Proposal Writing: Proven track record of successfully analyzing local public or private tenders, writing proposal documents, and managing formal commercial bidding structures
- Local Market Context: Deep, practical familiarity with the corporate and regulatory landscape. Must have a reliable intuition for local business behaviors, etiquette, and decision-making structures
- Self-Direction & Drive: A fierce, target-driven work ethic. Able to independently structure your own weekly routine, organize client roadmaps, and operate productively without baseline daily oversight
