Laundry Worker

About the Role
REDAT HEALTH CARE PLC is seeking an onsite, full-time Laundry Worker to ensure the proper collection, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of hospital linens and uniforms while maintaining hygiene and infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities
- Collect used linens, uniforms, towels, and other washable materials from designated departments.
- Separate dirty, clean, and contaminated laundry according to established procedures.
- Wash laundry using appropriate detergents, disinfectants, and washing procedures.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment properly.
- Dry, iron, fold, and arrange clean laundry properly.
- Distribute clean laundry to the appropriate departments on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry room and equipment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during work.
- Report damaged machines, missing items, and shortages of laundry supplies.
- Follow infection prevention, occupational health, and safety procedures.
- Maintain records of laundry collection, washing, and distribution when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 8 or Grade 10 completion.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in laundry services, preferably in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities.
- Demonstrated skills in sanitation and infection prevention.
