We are looking for a qualified, experienced, and dynamic Chinese Translator to support our company's international business activities, particularly in tourism development, import and export operations, and international business relations.

The successful candidate will facilitate communication between Chinese and Ethiopian stakeholders, support international business engagements, and assist in exploring tourism and trade opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide accurate Chinese–English and Chinese–Amharic translation and interpretation during meetings, negotiations, and official engagements.
• Facilitate communication between the company, Chinese business partners, suppliers, investors, and international stakeholders.
• Support tourism-related activities, including communication with Chinese tourists, visitors, and tourism partners.
• Assist in import and export operations, including translation of business correspondence, agreements, product documents, and trade-related materials.
• Accompany management and company representatives during local and international business trips, meetings, exhibitions, and official visits.
• Support the development of business relationships and partnerships between Ethiopia and China.
• Provide information about Ethiopian tourist destinations, cultural heritage, historical sites, and tourism opportunities.
• Handle other translation and international coordination duties as assigned by management.

Educational Background and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Tourism Management, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Chinese translation and interpretation.
• Minimum HSK 4 or above
• Demonstrated experience or exposure to the tourism, import, and export sectors.
• Excellent command of Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Amharic is required; knowledge of additional Ethiopian local languages is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Ethiopia's tourist destinations, cultural heritage, historical attractions, and tourism industry.
• Familiarity with major Ethiopian tourist destinations such as Lalibela, Axum, Gondar, Harar, the Omo Valley, and the Simien Mountains.
• Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
• Must possess a valid passport and be ready for overseas business assignments.
