Junior Accountant

About the Role
Destacon Trading PLC is looking for a Junior Accountant based at Salitemhret, Addis Ababa. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, preparing tax documents, and assisting management with reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments
- Prepare and maintain payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and supporting documentation
- Reconcile cash, petty cash, and bank transactions regularly
- Manage customer and supplier accounts, follow up receivables, and schedule payables
- Assist in preparing VAT records, tax declarations, and regulatory compliance documents
- Maintain inventory records for construction materials and reconcile physical stock with accounting records
- Assist in preparing monthly payroll, tax calculations, and employee payment records
- Prepare monthly financial summaries, reconciliation reports, and accounts receivable/payable aging reports
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Enforce internal controls, identify unusual transactions, and maintain confidentiality

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Intermediate professional experience
- Strong communication skills
- Residential area must be near Salitemhret (between Megenagna, Kotebe 02, CMC Yetebaberut, and Figa area)
- Available to work from 1:30 to 12:00 local time
