Financial & Accounting Consultant– Startup (Freelance)

About the Role

We are a startup seeking an accounting advisor to guide us in establishing sound financial practices, meeting regulatory requirements, and developing an effective accounting framework for our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on applicable accounting regulations, tax requirements, and financial reporting obligations.

• Guide the company on accounting procedures and financial requirements during the setup phase.

• Advise on VAT, corporate tax, invoicing, and other relevant tax obligations.

• Develop an accounting framework, including bookkeeping procedures, expense tracking, and financial record-keeping.

• Recommend suitable accounting software and systems based on the company's needs.

• Advise on budgeting, cash flow management, and basic financial planning.

• Identify potential financial and accounting risks and recommend appropriate precautions.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience advising startups or small businesses.

• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with accounting software and financial management tools.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide practical, actionable advice.
