JOB VACANCY – DRAFTSMAN

TGS Engineering PLC invites qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following position.

Position: Draftsman
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Gender: Male
Education: TVET Level Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in aluminum fabrication, glass works, and furniture-related drafting.
• Proven experience preparing aluminum shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation details, and cutting lists.
• Practical knowledge of aluminum profiles, measurements, fabrication, and installation processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or SketchUp is an advantage.
• Ability to take accurate site measurements and prepare quantity takeoffs and BOQs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English and Amharic.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate shop drawings and fabrication details for aluminum, glass, and furniture works.
• Take site measurements and prepare cutting lists and material quantity estimates.
• Revise drawings according to project requirements and engineering instructions.
• Verify site conditions and ensure work follows approved drawings.
• Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.
