Summary

The Finance Expert will provide technical support in financial management, accounting, budgeting, and fiduciary oversight. The expert will be responsible for conducting financial reviews, budget assessments, internal control evaluations, and fiduciary risk assessments to ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and donor requirements.

Responsibilities
• Conduct financial management, accounting, and budgeting reviews.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Undertake fiduciary risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
• Review budgets, financial reports, and expenditure records for accuracy and compliance.
• Support procurement reviews and assess compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify financial risks and control weaknesses and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
• Contribute to audit aspects and financial due diligence exercises.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, auditing, budgeting, fiduciary risk assessment, internal controls, or procurement reviews.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial management systems, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial management tools.
